Bird monitoring at Hobsonville

Join us as we head out along the coastal walkway to carry out some 5 minute bird counts - they are as easy as they sound! You don't need to know every bird you see and hear, we will show you how easy it is and help you identify the birds you are most likely to see and hear on the day.

This check-in with wildlife helps us find out what impact we are having with our pest animal control, weeding and planting. The plan is that the more the spaces return to native canopy, the more birds we have around. It seems to be working but this data collection helps us build up some pictures.
