About the event
Our first event in a series of learning opportunities this year will be a guided walk on the 8th of February through Albany. We will be starting at Kanuka Reserve in Bushlands and making our way to Albany Village.
Along the way you will see a variety of different ecosystems within the larger forest habitat, and we may even be able to harvest some podocarp seeds that you can grow for your own projects. The learning objective of this walk is to help you identify how different plants grow in different conditions, and this has applications for both nursery work and planting days.
We will aim to kick off the walk at Kanuka Reserve at 10am, however we will need a few cars (depending on numbers) to park at Albany Village before the event to transport those who park at Kanuka Reserve back to their cars. It is important we…
