Join the Herald Island Environmental Group who are bringing back the birds with a long term project to remove pest plants and predators and make the island a haven for native wildlife.
The latest step is to plant natives (many of which were grown on the island) to replenish this reserve with more food for the birds.
No experience necessary, just come dressed to work outside and bring your energy to make this event a success.
BBQ included too!
